The North Village covers a 267-ha area, sub-divided into separate development zones.  Its vision is a “decompression zone”, offering a gradual transition from hi-density megalopolis living into more human-scale suburban settings with flexible office and residential spaces.  North Village will host a major university and research campus, a transit village organized around a railway station, a contemporary shopping center, an office park, and a variety of residential buildings, ranging from high-rise apartment complexes (up to 15 floors), to mid-rise (5 to 7 floors), to urban townhouses.
